If you love architecture, visit Suzzallo Library on the University of Washington campus. I don’t know why they have haven’t made this a public attraction for Seattle. It is so stunning.

Have you ever seen a more amazing public library? Only in Seattle.

I’ve studied and wrote essays here several times! If you’re planning on going to any university or college in Seattle, such as the University of Washington, SPU or Seattle University, this library is amazing and is a great quiet place for you to get to work.
Plus, if you live in King County, you are able to check books out of this library even though you might not live in Seattle. It takes about 5 minutes to get a Seattle Public Library card and you can take tons of books home.

Now that you mention it, it kind of does look like the Great Hall in Harry Potter. Whatever you’d like to call it, it’s actually called the Suzzallo Library.
A long time ago, I posted a few things things for the theme “Euro-Seattle” where I named and showed everyone some places in Seattle that look a lot like someplace in Europe. Well the Suzzallo Library is the most Euroesque you can get in the Emerald City.

University of Washington

I really hope I will get accepted to this beautiful university a few mile north-east of downtown Seattle. It’s one of the oldest universities on the West Coast, and the most beautiful campus in the country. UW’s (U-Dubs) academics are just fantastic. London Times ranked UW as the third best public university in the United States, and the 23rd in the world. So, if you are still in high school, I highly recommend this university to anyone.

However, the University of Washington is another one of my favorite places to go when you want to feel like you are in Europe without actually being there. I think it’s due to the gothic arches and spectacular Suzzalo library that was built with the intentions of it looking like a cathedral. When you travel to this campus, go to Red Square and enter the Suzallo Library. This library is absolutely stunning. I cannot describe this place to you in words, but I will post some photos of this library in the near future. So, for my first post of a Euroesque location, included in my chain of “Euro-Seattle” photos, the University of Washington campus is the most Euroesque location in Seattle.
